What we offer

Our approach and Philosophy

The process of selecting child care or a school can be quite daunting and time consuming. At First Step School in San Marcos, TX we believe it doesn't have to be. After speaking with our dedicated faculty members the choice will be clear in regards to the welfare and future development of your child.

The overall goal of the program is enhancement of the child’s emotional, social and cognitive development. Children’s learning experiences are planned to occur through play activities and planned educational activities. Children and teachers select activities for participation from a variety of available planned experiences, some of which are child initiated and some of which are teacher initiated. The First Step Center program is based on a cognitive philosophy. Leave your child's education in the best possible hands. We provide a well-balanced curriculum and atmosphere and look forward to speaking with you about your child's education. We conduct tours of the school between the hours of 2:00 and 4:30 pm by appointment only. The tours take about 15-20 minutes. If you can't make it during these hours, please let us know what works for you and we will do our best to accomodate your needs.
